MFS telegram
Telegram of the SAP EWM Material Flow System
Also known as: MFS
A message exchanged between the Material Flow System of SAP EWM and the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) of conveyors and other warehouse automation.
Telegrams report and command the movement of handling units between communication points. Each telegram is acknowledged; missing acknowledgements trigger resends, and sequence numbers keep the exchange in order.
When conveyors stop or pallets end up in the wrong place, the explanation is usually in the telegram sequence: lost or late acknowledgements, telegrams out of order, or scans missing between two communication points.
In ERP Preflight
MFS BlackBox reconstructs the telegram timeline from a log export and reports the first causal divergence, acknowledgement timeouts, retry storms, sequence gaps and moves between non-adjacent conveyor points.
