Account determination
Automatic account determination (OBYC, VKOA)
The configuration that finds the G/L account for automatic postings — in materials management via OBYC, for revenue in sales via VKOA.
MM account determination (OBYC) maps transaction keys and valuation classes to G/L accounts; SD revenue account determination (VKOA) maps sales organisation and account key. In the cloud the entries are maintained through the corresponding SSCUI.
Postings fail with an account determination error when no account is found for a required combination, and they are rejected when the determined account is blocked for posting or not created in the company code.
In ERP Preflight
Account Determination Preflight validates exported OBYC and VKOA entries against the G/L account master data (SKA1, SKB1) and reports missing, blocked, uncreated and conflicting accounts.
