Implementation Guide (IMG), transaction SPRO
Also known as: IMG activity, customizing
The on-premise configuration tree of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA: each IMG activity, reached via transaction SPRO, maintains a group of customizing settings.
In on-premise systems, configuration is maintained through IMG activities. They write customizing tables, which are transported between systems like other changes.
In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, configuration is done through Central Business Configuration and SSCUIs instead. Not every IMG activity has an equivalent there; some are available only in part, behave differently or depend on an activated scope item.
In ERP Preflight
SPRO2Cloud maps an export of IMG activities to their cloud counterparts and reports activities that are unavailable, partial, scope-dependent, need a process redesign or behave differently.
