OPD
Output Parameter Determination
The SAP S/4HANA output framework that decides from BRFplus decision tables whether, how and to whom documents such as purchase orders are sent.
In SAP S/4HANA output management, output parameters are determined by BRFplus decision tables per application object type instead of the condition technique of classic NAST-based output control.
The determination runs in steps: output type, receiver, channel (for example email, print or XML), printer and email settings, and form and output relevance.
When no output is created, typically a decision table has no matching row for the document, a step is missing or inactive, a referenced form template does not exist in the target system, or table content was not transported consistently.
In ERP Preflight
OPD Guard evaluates exported decision tables deterministically: missing steps, uncovered combinations, shadowed rows, inactive channels and the effect of a rule change on documents that were determined before.
